Amenities & Services

Fun, Food & Films at the Drive-In

Every evening when the sun goes down, so do the tops on the classic 1960s convertibles parked at the Shooting Star Drive-In.  Pick your favorite – the ’64 Caddy, the ’66 Olds 98 or the ’61 Rambler – and hop in to enjoy the evening’s entertainment up on the silver screen – Vintage Cartoons, Cliffhangers like Flash Gordon and the Green Hornet, Classic Drive-In Intermission Ads, and Films from the ‘40s, ‘50s & ‘60s.

Don’t forget to visit the Snack Shack (as seen on the NBC Today Show with Jenna & Barbara Bush) for delicious hot buttered popcorn, vintage candy and bottles of pop, and ice cream treats. It’s crazy!

Shower with Elbow Room

If you’re staying in the RV Park – or just want a little more elbow room, there is a full private bath and shower accessible through the Resort Store.

The Shooting Star Drive-In Resort Store

Cool Camp Shirts, Pub Glasses, oversize Coffee Mugs, Bottle Openers, Tee Shirts, Ball Caps and more…all decorated with the very hip Shooting Star Drive-In logo. Need a new Pair of Shades? Backpack? Bandana? Sunscreen? Lip Balm? We got you covered!

Hike into the Grand Staircase right from your Airstream!

The Shooting Star Drive-In Resort property borders the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument and there are easy hikes - and good climbs just steps away from your deck. Or if you prefer, stroll through the groves of oak trees along the Escalante River on the resort grounds and pick one of the shaded hammocks along the creek for a nap. It's all right here.

Your Home Base to Explore the Region

The town of Escalante is just five minutes away, as is Smokey Mountain Road, which takes you on a journey into the heart of the Grand Staircase where you can explore hidden rock canyons and take in magnificent vistas atop the Kaiparowits Plateau, a 50-mile mountain top that reaches all the way south to Lake Powell.

Escalante Slot Canyons

East of town is Hole-In-The-Rock Road and your gateway to the stunning Peak-A-Boo and Spooky Slot Canyons. Visit the towers of Devil's Garden on your way and step back in time into the Jurassic Era at the Dinosaur Track Site. It's an adventure you'll always remember.
